Kevin Spacey - Spacey Denies Diva Claims
Hollywood actor KEVIN SPACEY has blasted reports of his expanding entourage, insisting he always travels alone - except when he has a media engagement.
The 21 star was rumoured to have hired a host of extra helpers to assist him on a daily basis - taking them everywhere he goes.
A source tells Britain's OK! magazine, "He's got bodyguards, several publicists, a make-up artist, a personal hairdresser, someone styling him..."
But Spacey's representative has dismissed the claims, saying: "A publicist, a groomer and security are there when he does press. Just like they are for any other stars."

Strictly star blamed herself for affair
'Strictly Come Dancing' star Alesha Dixon has revealed that she blamed herself for her husband's affair.
The 29-year-old singer told Company magazine that she was devastated when she found out that her husband, rapper MC Harvey, was having an affair with singer Javine Hylton.
Dixon said: "It was like my whole world had just collapsed around me. I thought, 'what have I done to deserve this?'"
"I'm a big believer in karma, and I felt I must have done something to invite it into my life. I tried to take the blame."
The former Misteeq singer said she was also angry after recently discovering that former bosses had wanted her to shed some weight.
"I found out the other day that, a while ago, some old bosses asked someone to have a word with me about losing weight. It's disgusting."
She said: "I'm not overweight and I'm not skinny, so to tell me to lose weight - what kind of message is that to girls?"
Dixon also revealed that she put her wedding dress on eBay after her marriage fell apart.
"It turned out the person who bid for it was a hoaxer, so I took it off eBay and never put it back up," she said.

Ferrell a huge hit during UCD appearance
Top Hollywood star Will Ferrell last night appeared in University College Dublin to accept a prestigious award in front of 1,500 students.
The 40-year-old star of 'Anchorman' was dressed in the full Irish rugby kit as he accepted the James Joyce Award from the Literary and Historical Society for his outstanding contribution to comedic acting.
Ferrell had a packed O'Reilly Hall in stitches throughout his 40- minute speech where he joked: "As I look out at this crowd, I see the future of Ireland, the future of Europe. And let's face it, the future looks pretty bleak."
The star also spoke about his two-week trip of Ireland with his brother Patrick and father Roylee, whose family hail from Co Longford.
He said: "The trip has been a bit of craic and I'm not talking about talk and laughter, I'm actually talking about crack cocaine."
During his holiday Ferrell travelled to Galway, Mayo, Belfast, Bushmills, Cork, Waterford and Longford. He joked: "The photos are all over Bebo if you need proof."
Ferrell added: "I'm so committed to my Irish roots that I intend to continue wearing this outfit (rugby kit) upon my return to the US. I will also continue to drive on the left-hand side of the road.
"Will it be dangerous? Yes. Is it illegal? Highly. But that's just how committed I am."
His speech also touched on what he believes are his similarities to James Joyce; Westlife and a dig at UCD's rival Trinity College Dublin.
Generating huge applause he said: "The truth of the matter is those guys are going to be working for you."
The star, who commands $20m a movie, joins other public figures honoured by the L&H, including United Nations weapons inspector Hans Blix, academic Noam Chomsky and former South African president FW De Klerk.
Ferrell told the L&H: "I'm truly honoured to be in the same company as previous recipients".

Farley family preps film comedy
David Spade, Chris Kattan among 'SNL' stars on board
The siblings of the late comedian Chris Farley are heading to Pittsburgh for "Hollywood and Wine," a satire that will feature many of Farley's friends and colleagues from "Saturday Night Live."
The project is the first of a six-picture deal between indie outfits Smithfield Street Prods. & Studios and Proud Mary Entertainment, which hope to shoot movies predominantly in what they call "Hollywood North East." The slate will take advantage of Pennsylvania's 25% film tax incentive.
Kevin Farley, younger brother John Farley and his wife, Jennifer Farley, collaborated with scribe Matt Berman on "Wine," which the older Farley is co-directing with Berman.
Several former "SNL" cast members will appear in the comedy, including Chris Kattan, David Spade, Norm MacDonald, Horatio Sanz and Chris Parnell, according to producers. Also joining the cast are Chazz Palminteri, Vivica Fox, Pamela Anderson, Jeremy London, Nicky Whelan and the two Farley brothers.
"Wine" is about a Hollywood chef and an aspiring actress who embark on a get-rich quick scheme that results in mistaken identify and a run-in with the mob.
Producing the film are Mary Aloe, Brian Hartman, Henry Boger and Alexander Tabrizi. Mike Dolan, Ben Barton and Eric Brown are executive producing. Free Fall Films and Trivision Pictures are co-producing. Filming is to begin soon.
Aloe, founder of Proud Mary, said she and her counterparts at Smithfield already have started lining up projects for their slate. Along with Smithfield's Dolan, Aloe set up a line of credit to co-finance the slate of films, with Arclight selling foreign rights.
Kevin Farley has appeared a variety of TV and film projects, including the upcoming indie comedy "The Gold and the Beautiful," with brother John. He also appeared in "Artie," a comedy written and produced by Berman. Kevin Farley is repped by AKA Talent Agency and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
John Farley is repped by Ellis Talent Group and Precision Entertainment.
Beverly Hills-based Proud Mary's productions include "Battle in Seattle" with Charlize Theron and Woody Harrelson and "Tortured," starring Laurence Fishburne and James Cromwell. The company also is developing "Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever."
Smithfield is based in Pittsburgh and runs the region's only full-service production studio.

The Coldplay frontman, whose new album Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends is released this week, looks to the Irish rockers as a measure of success.
He said: "U2 once said they were reapplying for the job as the best band in the world. On Viva La Vida... we feel like we're just reapplying to be a band again.
"I always view our albums in terms of U2 albums. Viva La Vida is our Unforgettable Fire in that it's less straightforward, more oblique. It's about sex and death and love and fear and travel and illness. There's light and there's dark."
Despite the critical acclaim the band have received, Martin doesn't think Coldplay are the best band in the world.
Chris added: "The best bands in the world today are probably Arcade Fire and Sigur Ros. I think Coldplay is only the seventh best band in the world."
Earlier this week, Chris revealed he has been dreaming about U2 frontman Bono.
He said: "I always dream about other musicians. And with U2 or Radiohead it's always, 'Hey, how are you doing?' And they are never interested in hanging out with us. It's a permanent feeling of being at school and the bigger boys don't want to play with you."

Brit bands still strive to conquer America
America’s a hard place to conquer. Yeah, Brits from the Beatles and Stones to Radiohead and Coldplay have conquered their former colonies. But for every successful British invader, there has been a dozen UK chart-toppers we’ve repelled.
Maybe it’s our crude understanding of clever pop or sheer size or taste in haircuts. But megastar mods from the Small Faces to the Jam to Pete Doherty hit the Top of the Pops back home in Old Blighty only to come across as bowl-cut sporting dweebs over here. But with five times the population of the UK and countless thousands of bars and arenas to fill from Boston to Los Angeles, America will forever inspire British invasions.
Next week, two of Great Britain’s great Wight hopes play sold-out shows at the modest-sized Paradise - the Kooks on Monday and the Fratellis on Wednesday - in search of a few new Yank fans. Both bands began their careers with No. 2 albums on the British charts in 2006, propelled by buoyant Brit pop-derived rock. But neither has managed to figure out how to translate English success to trans-Atlantic stardom.
“I think there’s a certain amount of blandness that goes into becoming a seriously big act,” said Jon Fratelli, singer and guitarist for the unrelated Glasgow trio whose members all use the Fratelli surname. “If you’re not one of those bland acts, you’ve got to work a little harder.”
Led Zeppelin was anything but bland, but his point is well-taken regarding such milquetoast-but-huge fellow Brits as James Blunt, David Gray and Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody. But Fratelli knows there’s more to winning American ears and wallets than having an artful, rockin’ backbone.
“America has already got a lot of music,” he said. “It doesn’t really need any more music, so only really great stuff will get through. Thankfully, we’re patient and like playing the States. The American tour was always the best chapter in rock biographies, so we always get excited when we step off the plane.”
Lead Kook Luke Pritchard and his quartet also dig touring the lower 48, but admit they have yet to figure out the country.
“America’s a mad place and I don’t really understand the scene over here,” Pritchard said from a hotel room in Kansas. “Everywhere you go is different and it’s nothing like England. So I don’t see any one formula to breaking through in the States.”
Sonically, the Kooks’ strategy is to stay the course. Their second album, “Konk,” follows in the footsteps of their poppy, precious, very British debut, which hit No. 1 back home. In America, alas, it didn’t crack the Top 40.
Looking to stand out from the Brit pack, the Fratellis have taken the opposite tack with their second album, “Here We Stand,” which comes out next week.
“This record will definitely set us apart from a lot of other British bands,” Fratelli said. “It’s definitely a fatter sounding record than most British records.
“There’s sort of this thin British guitar sound right now and it’s funny because I think the sound was started by American Tony Hoffer,” he said of the producer behind both the Fratellis’ debut and the two Kooks albums. “We didn’t use a producer on the new album specifically to avoid that British sound. We don’t dislike the sound, but it can make it hard to distinguish one band from another.”
The end result is a slightly more American feel. Lead single “Mistress Mabel” has a lovable, Cheap Trick-ish quality.
Maybe both bands’ strategies will work, maybe neither will. The guys are trying not to obsess about it. Their bankbooks are already fat with pounds and euros so there’s no need to be the next Beatles to keep their accountants happy. Besides, success is still a very relative term.
“We’ve sold about 200,000 records in the States and we thought that was quite good,” said Fratelli. “It’s more than we thought we’d do and more than a lot of other British bands that come over and try and have a go.”

The Promotion
Doug (Seann William Scott) is a married, hard working, mid-level employee at a local Chicago grocery chain and a candidate to become manager of his company�s newest store. His current boss (Fred Armisen) is behind him--until serious competition arrives in the form of a transfer from Canada, Richard (John C. Reilly), who is determined to turn it into a two-man race as the chain�s executives let both compete in a bizarre contest to come out on top. As tension rises between the two, so do the stakes when Richard attempts to appear smarter than he really is. A parking lot confrontation between the two heats things up to a boil, as both go for the jugular. Meanwhile, at home, Doug finds himself lying to his wife (Jenna Fischer) and telling her he already got the dream job--one that it is quickly turning into a nightmare.For once Scott is nicely--and noticeably--restrained, playing a recognizable everyday guy trying to get ahead in his boring job. Scott, after a series of over-the-top comedies like the American Pie series and Mr. Woodcock, seems to be channeling his bland side in creating the kind of person we all know: a guy dedicated to job and wife, hard working, honest and--invisible. Reilly adds some familiar quirks to the looney Richard, but for some reason the character doesn�t always add up and feels contrived throwing the whole picture off balance. In yet another lead role after last winter�s flop Walk Hard, Reilly is beginning to show that a little bit of his style goes a long way. He�s definitely entertaining to watch, however--especially in a scene in which he must make up a series of excuses to explain his screw-ups to his bosses. Sometimes less is more, and both stars admirably do what they are asked to do and make a game attempt to engage us in their battle. Armisen is appropriately droll as the current store manager, while Fischer is pleasant in her few scenes. A nice reliable supporting cast is also on board including Gil Bellows, Bobby Cannavale and Lili Taylor and they make the most of what they are given.As a screenwriter Steve Conrad has found some success with off-beat films like The Weather Man and particularly the Will Smith hit The Pursuit of Happyness. Both films proved he was adept at creating uniquely different kinds of characters who march to their own drummers. Here in his directorial debut, though, he seems to be tempering his script when it needs to be juiced up. His low-key style behind the camera probably is a little too dry for this uneven but well meaning effort. On the plus side, he is clearly a writer/director who would prefer to leave the flash at home in favor of emphasizing acting and dialogue. Unfortunately, the overall slightness of The Promotion may not be getting Conrad more promotions into the director�s chair anytime soon.

Amy Winehouse - Winehouse In Racist Video
Troubled singer AMY WINEHOUSE has appeared in a new video which allegedly shows her singing racist lyrics in a room filled with drug paraphernalia.
The video - obtained by British newspaper the News of the World - is believed to have been filmed by Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
In the footage, believed to have been taken ahead of their nuptials last year (07), the 24-year-old is seen smoking what appears to drugs through a pipe and chanting offensive remarks.
Fielder-Civil, who is currently being tried on charges of assault and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, tells Winehouse and a pal, known only as Sarah, that he isn't filming them.
The Rehab hitmaker then sings, "Blacks, Pakis, Gooks and Nips, Gooks and Nips!
"And deaf and dumb and blind and gay!"
It isn't the first time Winehouse has been caught on camera; earlier this year (08) the star was filmed allegedly taking a cocktail of illegal drugs and in another bizarre video she was taped talking to mice.
